Friday, after having lunch with the family in Santa Cruz, we jumped on California Hwy. 1 northbound for San Francisco. We stopped along the way so I could take a few pictures of this lighthouse and Prisoner Rock.

I first visited San Francisco a few years ago when my father took us down there for a day trip. As a photographer, I love how colorful and vibrant the city is. This was my first chance to re-visit the city. I wish I had more than one evening to spend here.
After arriving, we first stopped to visit Fort Point at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. This old fort protected the San Francisco harbor during and after the U.S. Civil War. There were lots of interesting rooms and shapes in the fort.

Cynthia enjoying the view.
The bridge is alway cool.

This little guy had a starfish but didn't seem to know what to do with it. Kind of like the dog that finally catches the car.

I didn't take many pictures the rest of the night after it started to get dark. I need to put down my camera once in a while and pay attention to my beautiful wife. We had delayed celebrating our 2nd anniversary until we arrived here. After walking around on the wharf for a while, we stopped in an Italian restaraunt to listen to this trio play. They were very good. The gentleman at the piano might seem old, but he sure knew how to "tickle the ivories". They played "Fly Me to the Moon" for us in honor of our anniversary.
Cynthia made me take a picture of the silverware when we stopped to pig out on crab. She liked the tails.
